- MedPanda does not sell, arrange or give advice on insurance, and we cannot tell you whether this cover is right for you.
- The cover is arranged by Custom Assurance Placements, Ltd., an insurance broker in South Carolina, USA, and provided by the insurer named in your policy. Your contract is with them, not with MedPanda.
- Read the policy wording before you buy. Check that it covers your procedure, the country you live in, your age and your travel dates. If your procedure is not on the GPS list, GPS asks you to contact them before you enrol.
- GPS tells MedPanda when you enrol through this link. Your policy and health details stay in your own secure GPS account. MedPanda has a partner agreement with GPS and may receive a fee if you buy cover through this link. The price you pay is the same.
Specialised international travel insurance for travel accidents or illness, including cover for medical complications
We are proud to partner with Custom Assurance Placements, Ltd., who administer the Global Protective Solutions (GPS) programmes. GPS provides specialised insurance for international medical travellers. International medical travel requires unique and specialised insurance. Standard travel insurance usually excludes trips taken to receive medical care.
In addition to the travel accident and illness cover, benefits have been expanded to include medical complications for an elective procedure when travelling to another country for care. This specialised cover can help with unexpected costs from an unforeseen complication for up to 180 days after your procedure date. Cover is available on a worldwide basis. Age, residence and procedure restrictions apply.

Regulation: licensed as an insurer by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (reference 2267099). It is not authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority or the Prudential Regulation Authority.
Disputes and compensation: if a complaint is not resolved by the insurer, you can refer it to the Channel Islands Financial Ombudsman. The UK Financial Ombudsman Service does not apply. Because the insurer is not authorised in the UK, these policies are not protected by the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
